accreditations

The quality of a company’s accreditations speaks volumes about the quality of their work and service. At the Bifold Network, we’re a firm believer in accreditations, and we’re proud to be formally accredited by a variety of certification schemes.

Accreditations: why they matter

Awarded by certification bodies, an accreditation recognises the competence of a member organisation, to perform to a certain standard.

Effectively, accreditations are a useful way of gauging the industry reputation of a company before you even do business with them. They provide a way to identify a high quality, industry-respected company easily and quickly, letting you make an informed decision about whether to trade with them.

Bifold Network: accredited by a variety of companies

Here at Bifold Network, we’re accredited by some of the best companies and schemes operating in the construction and fenestration industries. Here is a little more information about some of the accreditation and certification schemes that we are a part of.

A few of our accreditations

CHAS

chas-accreditation
The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) is designed to improve health and safety standards across the UK and to reduce duplicated safety applications for suppliers and buyers. Accredited organisations are assessed on their Health and Safety policy statement; the overall health and safety of their company, and their specific health and safety arrangements. CHAS-approved companies are compliant with important parts of health and safety law, and have proven that they possess the ability, experience and resources to carry out the specific work that they have applied to do.

Secured by Design

secured-by-design-accreditation
An official UK police home security initiative, the ‘Secured by Design‘ scheme is designed to reduce crime and burglary in the UK by improving the design of home improvement products. The scheme puts products through a series of stringent security tests. Member companies whose products meet the rigorous standards have the right to label relevant products ‘Police preferred alternatives’ and ‘Secured by Design’. All of the bifold doors that we create here at Bifold Network have achieved these standards and are thus accredited, ‘Secured by Design’.

British Fenestration Ratings Council

bfrc-accreditation
The thermal performance of all of our bifolds are independently rated and verified by the British Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC). The BFRC are the UK’s leading authority for providing independent energy efficiency ratings of windows and doors. The authority rates energy efficient products on a rainbow scale of efficiency, and BFRC ratings are used widely across the construction and fenestration industries.

Trustmark

trustmark-accreditation
A not for profit organisation that is licensed by the Government and supported by consumer protection groups, Trustmark is a quality mark that promotes improved product and installation standards across the construction and fenestration industry. Member companies are annually audited in order to ensure that processes, standards and complaint procedures are maintained correctly. As well as this, accredited companies have signed up to a code of conduct which they are expected to follow at all times.

Certass

certass-accreditation
A UKAS approved certification company, Certass operates a Competent Person Scheme under a Department of Communities and Local Government license (DCLG). Members of the certification are assessed to the standards defined in EN17065 and the specific license requirements of DCLG. Member companies are financially and technically assessed each year to ensure that they meet the relevant standards. Samples of previous work are also inspected to ensure that they comply with the high standards of the scheme.

The body also runs the Thermal Ratings Register, a product certification scheme which ensures the thermal compliance of replacement windows and doors: an agreed standard for UK Building Regulation compliance.

Constructionline

constructionline-accreditation
A register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants working in the construction and fenestration industries, Constructionline collects, monitors and assesses company information, making sure that it is aligned to PAS 91. Improving efficiency in the construction industry by streamlining supply chain management and reducing risk, this accreditor works with the Government to promote common minimum standards across the industry.
